Albert “Al” Marranconi, 88, of Meadville, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at Meadville Medical Center. Al was born in Cadogan, on September 24, 1930, a son of the late Charles and Laura Marranconi. He married Virginia Marie Daniels; she survives.

A veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict, Al served his country from January 20, 1953 until his honorable discharge on January 19, 1955. His hobbies included doing yard work, gardening, making yard ornaments and raising sunflowers. In addition to his wife Virginia, Al is survived by a daughter Terry and her daughter Amber of Arkansas, a son Rick Marranconi and his wife Sue of Meadville, a grandson Jeff Marranconi of Meadville, a great granddaughter Coryn Rose Marranconi, a great grandson Dominic Foote, a sister Roselee Faulk of MD, a brother George Marranconi of Kittanning, a brother in law David Daniels of Meadville, special friends Linda Gagean,who was like a granddaughter, Jane, Kevin and Kyle Tharp, Virginia Davis, all of Meadville, numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Al was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 10-1 at Littles Corners United Methodist Church, 15400 State Hwy. 198, Meadville, where services will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev.

Jeff Bobin, Pastor, officiating. Full Military Honors by VFW Post #2006 will follow. Al will be laid to rest in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Littles Corners United Methodist Church, 15400 State Hwy. 198, or Humane Society of Crawford County, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, both in Meadville, PA 16335. Arrangements are under the direction of STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC.
