Obituary for Aldoris Graf Aldoris Graf passed away Monday, September 18th, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Aldoris was born on December 21st, 1941 in Alameda California. She was named after her Father, Al Haidinger, and mother, Doris.

She later moved to Galveston Texas with her parents and while visiting her grandmother in Fort Worth Texas, she met her future husband, Norman Dexter Graf. Aldoris is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Lee (Crumb) Mitchell with whom she was quite close. Even with challenges in her early life, Aldoris was a very friendly person and never knew a stranger.

She put her excellent social skills to work as a salesperson. Aldoris was a loving and caring mother to her children, Ray, Sherry, and Timothy. She loved to cook and spend time with family.

She was also a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and at times, would often vocally express her support for the team which the whole house would hear. In addition to being a devoted mother and successful career woman, Aldoris was a supportive and loving wife to her husband. Aldoris was one of the first female salespersons in the automotive parts industry and had a very successful career with Cogdell Auto Supply in Fort Worth.

During her career she received a tremendous amount of support and recognition from her superiors. Aldoris came of age during her career in a time when women were not as respected as much as their male counterparts, yet she succeeded in spite of all the social and economic barriers placed before her. The example she set for her family and the strength she passed down to her children has been an inspiration to all who knew her.

Additional statements: I write this obituary for my mother, as her youngest son. The example she set and the strength she passed down to my big sister have left an impression on me, and as an example of strong women, that I respect. When I met my wife, I recognized that same strength outside of my family because of my mother and my sister.
