Alejos Salais June 17, 1956 – March 27, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Mass of Christian Burial for Alejos Salais, 62, of Diboll will be held Friday, March 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Raymundo Garcia and Deacon Jesus Reyes officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Haven Cemetery.

Mr. Salais was born June 17, 1956 in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico to the late Clara (Franco) and Conrado Salais, and died Wednesday, March 27, 2019 in Lufkin. Mr. Salais moved from Mexico at the age of 16. He worked for Georgia Pacific/Temple Inland for 45 years.

He was a hard worker who loved spending his free time fishing with his beloved wife and playing volleyball with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be missed by many. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Leticia Salais; children, Griselda Hernandez and husband Mauricio, Mayra Guzman and husband Lionel, and Alejos Salais, Jr. and wife Rosa; grandchildren, Gianelle, Iris, Jaylee, Mauricio Jr., Alexa, and Alejos III; siblings, Faustino Salaiz, Jose E. Salaiz, Carolina Vasquez, Rebecca De Hoyos, Javier Salais, Jesus Salais, and Maria Garcia; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Conrado Salaiz and Reynaldo Salais. Pallbearers will be Nicolas Garcia, Jr., Zaul Sanchez, Lionel Guzman, Jesus Salais, Fausto Sanchez, and Renato Cortez. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Carroway Funeral Home with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Memories and condolences may be added at www.
