Aletta I. Stautz, 89, of Kewaskum, passed away and found peace on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. She was born on Jan 9, 1929 to the late Herman and Aletta (nee Peters) Quaas in West Bend. On October 15, 1949, she was united in marriage to Clayton Stautz at St. John’s Lutheran Church in West Bend.
She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Aletta was a member of Peace United Church of Christ. She tirelessly served on the Women’s Guild, taught Sunday school, and was involved in the Legion Auxiliary and the annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Aletta worked in the Kewaskum High School lunchroom. Aletta and Clayton placed flags and flowers at the grave sites of veterans at many cemeteries in the area for many years. She had a true heart and love for serving others in her community.
Aletta enjoyed camping with her family and friends and was a member of a bowling league. She enjoyed gardening with her husband, Clayton, as they canned and baked many delicious items together. Aletta frequently baked for the funerals of others.
Although serving others in her community was a hallmark of Aletta’s personality, her love for her family always came first. She was a strong woman who kept everything organized for everyone. Aletta cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by everyone.
