Alfred F. Stangl. 86, resident of Redstone Highlands in Greensburg, formerly of Oakmont, passed on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. He was born January 21, 1932 in Oakmont, PA to the late Frank and Rose (Mikos) Stangl.

Beloved brother of John (Patti) Stangl of Greensburg, and Rosemary Sabat of South Park. Dear uncle of Peter (Stacey) Sabat, Jr., Jason Stangl and Alyssa (Dan) Cuomo. Alfred was a longtime resident of Oakmont and a member of St. Irenaeus Catholic Church where he also volunteered at the school.

Prior to retirement he was employed by Equitable Gas Company and served in the U.S. Army. Friends will be received Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 1-5 pm at English Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 378 Maryland Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 16, 2018 at 11 am in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont.

Everyone please meet at church. Final interment will be private in Mount Carmel Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Redstone Highlands and their Hospice Care team for the special care received.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Redstone Hospice Care or to one’s favorite charity.
