Alfredo “Fred” Montano July 20, 1945 – December 27, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Alfredo “Fred” Montano age 73, went to be with the Lord Thursday December 27, 2018 at Valley Baptist Medical Center. A native of Weslaco, he graduated from Weslaco High School in 1964 and attended Pan American University. He was a member of the National Guard Armory.

Fred retired from the Texas Employment Commission after serving for 31 years. He was a farmer , a real estate investor, trucker and out spoken for the under privileged. He leaves behind to cherish his wonderful memory his beloved wife, Rosa Montano, four children, Alfredo Montano Jr., Nancy Val Verde (Juan Jr.), Lori Lynn Thompson (Adam) and James Patrick Montano (Melody), 14 grandchildren, two sisters, Gloria Vega and Estela Molina, two brothers, Isabel Montano Jr. and Eristeo Montano.

He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held today Friday 12/ 28/2018 from 1 pm to 9 pm. Chapel Service will be held Saturday December 29, 2018 at 1 pm at Trinity Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow to Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, La Feria. Arrangements are under the direction of Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home, 1002 East Harrison Ave. Harlingen, Texas 78550.
