Alice A. James, 85 of Elkhorn, died peacefully Wednesday, May 02, 2018 at Kindred Hearts in Elkhorn. She was born December 25, 1932 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Trofim and Sophie (Boichuk) Michalchik. Alice married Wayne James in 1951 in Chicago, IL.

Wayne preceded her in death in October of 1996. She owned and operated a beauty shop in Chicago, IL for 30 years retiring in 1982. Alice enjoyed watching television especially Judge Judy.

She is survived by her son; David W. James of Fredericksburg, VA, Two grandsons; Michael James of Virginia and David James of North Carolina, her sister; Olga Ruys of Bainbridge Island, WA, her brother Thomas Michalchik of Lake Geneva, WI, her sister-in-law; Fru Michalchik of Newport Beach, CA. Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years; Wayne, her daughter-in-law: JoAnn James and her two brothers: Michael and Peter. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Friday May 4, 2018 at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI with Father Jose Zapata officiating.

Burial will be 1:00 PM Friday at Elmwood Cemetery River Grove, IL. On-line guestbook is at www. haaselockwoodfhs.com.
