Alice’s Obituary Alice E. Logan, 93, died Friday, May 10, in Naperville, IL. She was born in Edwardsville, IL on January 9, 1926, to Leo S. and Mary (Blackburn) Weidner. She married Archer W. Logan in 1949.

They moved their family to Wheaton, IL in 1966 where they lived for the remainder of their lives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Ruth and Geneva, her husband of 51 years, Archer, and her son, Ross. She is survived by her daughter Ann (Roger) Shipley, grand-daughter, Katie Shipley, brother, Clifford (Lindsay) Weidner, daughter-in-law, Gail Kushnir (Richard Thacher), and many special nieces and nephews.

Alice was a graduate of Millikin University in Decatur, IL, where she earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music Education. She enjoyed singing in the choir at the First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, and touched the lives of countless children during her 17 years of teaching elementary school music in the Wheaton Public Schools. Upon retirement, she and her husband enjoyed golfing with his fellow Amoco retirees, traveling the world with the Union League Club of Chicago Ramblers, and spending time with family and friends.

Alice also enjoyed time spent with fellow teaching retirees, her PEO sisters, and her church family. A memorial service for Alice will be held on Saturday, June 15, at 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, 715 N. Carlton Ave. , Wheaton, IL 60187, with a reception to follow.

Memorials may be donated to the First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton Music program, or the Cottey College music program, 1000 W. Austin, Nevada, MO 64772.
