Alice Fyetda (Stewart) McCready, 89, Altoona, died Saturday at Hillview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John and Emma (Reisdorph) Stewart. She married Don McCready in 1951.

He died in 1963. Surviving are a daughter, Keturah Wilson of Altoona; a son, Woody McCready and wife, Debbie, of Duncansville; four grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter and two great-grandsons.

Alice was a 1948 graduate of Altoona High School and retired from Puritan Sportswear and Warnaco. She enjoyed volunteering as a foster grandparent for 25 years and attended Altoona Bible Church. She also enjoyed square dancing.

At the request of the family, the service will be private. Interment will be at Jersey Shore Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg.
