Alice Louise Joyner, age 94 of Searcy, died Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in Searcy. She was born December 28, 1924 in Searcy to John Ballard Holmes and Elizabeth Gertrude Durham Holmes. She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Lynn Joyner Johnson and husband Howard W. of Searcy, Beverly Louise Joyner Staggs and husband Dr. David of Searcy, Judy Laura Joyner of Little Rock; two daughters-in-law, Janice Marie Coles Butler and husband Billy of Searcy, Shirley Joyner of Searcy; seven grandchildren, Shelby Kathryn Staggs White and husband Dr. David of Searcy, Amanda Claire Staggs Dismang and husband Sen.

Jonathan of Searcy, Dr. Garth B. Johnson of Conway, Garrett B. Johnson of Searcy, William Brant Joyner and wife Michelle of Searcy, Dustin Wade Joyner and wife Michelle of Searcy, Natasha Jill Joyner Turney and husband Jerry of Searcy; nine great-grandchildren, Rhett Alex Joyner of Searcy, Colton Wade Joyner of Searcy, Brandon Wayne Turney of Searcy, Bruce Allen Turney of Searcy, Gabriel Jamison White of Searcy, Dawson Cade Dismang of Searcy, Sawyer Staggs Dismang of Searcy, Louisa Violet Johnson of Conway, Autumn Renee Turney of Searcy; three nephews, Rodger Willis Duncan and wife Barbara of Searcy, W. A. Tucker, Jr. and wife Phyllis of Sherwood, Johnny Wayne Holmes and wife Anne of Searcy; and four nieces, Carolyn Jeanette Holmes Swindle of Searcy, Barbara Anita Duncan Wilson and husband Jim of Searcy, Frances Kay Tucker Lewis and husband Larry of Kansas City, Kansas, and Marla Duncan of Searcy. She is preceded in death by her parents, J. B. and Gertrude Holmes; William Roy Joyner, husband of 66 years; son, William Franklin Joyner; sisters, Vesta Pauline Holmes Tucker and husband Bill, Doris Wyndelene Holmes Duncan and husband Vernon; brother, John Edwin Wayne Holmes and wife Evelyn; nephews, Jim Swindle, Montie Wayne Duncan. Visitation is Saturday from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home.
