Nina Sue Hosmer, 76, of Augusta, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Unity Health in Searcy. She was born March 23, 1942 in Russell a daughter of the late Fred and Irene Matthews Bottoms. Nina Sue will be remembered for her big smile and even bigger personality.

She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and was known to spoil her great-grandchildren, who are very blessed with many great memories of her. Nina Sue was a member of the First Baptist Church of Augusta.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Hunter of Augusta; sisters, Nettie Jean Turner and Phyllis Ann Peebles both of Augusta and Joyce Marie Miller of McCrory; her grandchildren, Matthew Hunter and wife Julie of McCrory and Jessica Rascoe and husband Jake of Beebe; great-grandchildren, Jake and Cullen Hunter and Abbi and Anthony Rascoe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond “JR” Hosmer and several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Powell Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Augusta Memorial Park with Bro.
