Alice Mae Reynolds Hall entered Eternal Life with her Lord and Savior at Fireside Health Center in Rockford on May 31, 2018 at the age of 93. She was born on January 10, 1925 in Diagonal, Iowa. She was the daughter of Ora Reynolds and Clara Eva Graham Reynolds.

She spent her childhood years in Diagonal and her teen years in Benton, Iowa and graduated from Benton High School in 1942. She was one of six sisters: Violet, Doris, Betty, Lilian and Clara. She was raised in a Christian home and accepted the Lord as her Savior at an early age.

She became a member of the Christian Church in Iowa. She was a founding member of the Silver Hill Free Church in Rockford and the Maywood Evangelical Free Church in Rockford where she attended for her entire life. After graduating High School where she met her future husband, Buford Hall of Benton, Iowa, she went to work at Write Patterson Field in Dayton, Ohio during World War II while Buford was serving in the United States Navy.

After Buford returned from Naval service, they were united in marriage on September 19, 1946. After their marriage Alice and Buford moved to Rockford. Their two sons, Terry Dee and Randy Lee, were born in Rockford in 1948 and 1950.

While Alice and Buford were serving the Lord and raising their children, Alice worked at several businesses in Rockford and retired from the Rockford School District in the early 1980’s. From the early 1950’s Alice, Buford, Terry and Randy attended Silver Hill Free Church and Maywood Free Church as a family until the boys entered military service and then Alice and Buford continued to attend Maywood for the rest of their lives. During their retirement years Alice and Buford traveled extensively to all 50 States and spent their summers in Rockford with Terry’s family and spent their winters in Weslaco, TX with Randy’s family.

They enjoyed their 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-greatgrandchild. Her husband, Buford Hall, preceded her in eternal rest on August 18, 2009. Also preceding her in eternal rest were two of her sisters, Doris and Betty.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in Maywood Evangelical Free Church, 3621 Samuelson Road, Rockford 61109 with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial in Willwood Burial Park, Rockford. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Maywood Evangelical Free Church.
