Eunice Ann Hunt, 91, of Rockford, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018. She was born on September 11, 1926 in McPherson, Kansas to August and Ruth Rump. Eunice grew up in Des Moines, Iowa.

She received her Bachelors Degree from Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. Eunice married D. Gordon Hunt on September 23, 1951 in Des Moines, Iowa and they have celebrated 66 years of marriage.

Eunice and Gordon lived in Burlington, Iowa for 38 years before moving to the Rockford area. Eunice was an avid reader and enjoyed family vacations all over the United States. She especially enjoyed family camping and swimming.

She was a member of P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) for 50 plus years and also a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband, Gordon; children, Julia (Jeff) Zaiser, David (DaVonne) Hunt and Carol M. Johnson; daughter-in-law, Cindy A. Hunt; grandchildren, Amy (Scott) Cobert, Joel Zaiser, Kelly (Landon) Peterson, Emily Hunt, Bradley Hunt, Bailey Johnson and Tristan Johnson; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Mason, Landon, Alexis, Brady, Lukas, EllenMarie, Teagan and Riley; sister, Mary A. Keck; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; son, Thomas Hunt; sister, Leslie R. White; sister-in-law, Caryl Dikkers.

A memorial service will be held on June 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2821 N. Bell School Rd. , Rockford, Illinois 61107 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Youth Mission Program at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
