Obituary of Alice Humes Alice Marie Cox Humes, 43 years, 25 days of age, of Campbellsville, formerly of Fort Wayne, Indiana, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Taylor County Hospital after a brief illness. Marie was born on January 19, 1975, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late Carmen, “J.V.” Cox and Dawn Kay Trout Cox who survives. Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Hubert and Evelyn Cox and grandmother, Jonita Trout.

She attended Campbellsville University and Spencerian College where she received her degree as a Certified Nursing Assistant. In her spare time, she enjoyed the outdoors, listening to music and dancing. She had been attending Elkhorn Baptist Church, Besides, her mother, Marie is survived by her husband, James William Humes, a daughter, Chelsey Adcock, 3 sons, Dawson Adcock, C.J. Cox and Harley Rodgers as well as her step-daughter, Brooklyn Humes all of Campbellsville.

Also surviving is a brother, Jeramie Cox of Campbellsville, her grandfather, Paul Trout, grandparents, Alice and David Nicolet an aunt, Star Trout, all of Indiana as well as several other aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service for Alice Marie Cox will be Friday, February 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Brian Rafferty officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Chapel Cemetery with bearers being Buddy Tate, Tommy Price, T.J. Milby, Tyler Goodin, Dawson Adcock and James Price.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Lyon DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy be donations toward the cost of the funeral and may be made at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.
