Obituary for Aline Rosaline Cecile Jenkins Aline Rosaline Cecile Jenkins, a Pastor’s Wife since 1975 and resident of Kentwood, Louisiana passed on to her heavenly home on July 10, 2018 at 12:05 AM, to be reunited with her loving husband, Rev. TJ Jenkins, of 65 years. Her devotion to her family and her firm unwavering faith in Jesus Christ supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace and rest.

Aline was born to the late Charlie and Gertrude Jenkins of Covington, Louisiana on January 7, 1937. She was raised on a farm on North Lee Road. She then graduated from Covington High School in 1952 and shortly after, at the age of 16, married the love of her life.

She went on to have three daughters, Caryn, Tina, and Beverly. At an early age she dedicated her children to the Lord and encouraged them to explore the gospel. They attended Lee Road Church until 1975 when they got the calling to Pastor a church in Kentwood, Louisiana, where they pastored for 18 years.

Aline devoted her life to the ministry and winning souls to the Lord. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, singing, and working in the church. You could often find her cooking delicious food for her family and church family.

Aline is survived by her three daughters, Caryn Ledet, Tina Miley (Randy), and Beverly Tate (Davis); her 6 grandchildren, Sabrina Lipscy (Paul), Katrina Munch (Bob), Layne Miley (Selena), Shane Tate (Raenell), Lacie O’Hern (John), and Krystal Tate (Kelly); her 13 great-grandchildren, Brittney Phares (Wade), Cheyenne and Laila Munch, PJ and Briava Lipscy, Peyton, Alayna, and Drew Miley, Mason and Zoe O’Hern, Elizabeth and Anderson Tate, and Keegan Herrington; and her three siblings Showalter Jenkins, Wilson Jenkins, and Joy Neal along with several step-brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, TJ Jenkins, her parents Charlie and Gertrude Jenkins, Step-father Jessie Jenkins, nine siblings, Tom Jenkins, Vernie Hunt, Pearlie Jenkins, Wylie Jenkins, Irma Jenkins, Doyle Jenkins, Hansel Jenkins, Rubel Jenkins, Adrian Jenkins, several step-brothers and sisters, and her son-in-law, Walter Ledet. Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Services at The Pentacostals of Lee Road, 17700 Hwy 40 Covington, LA on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 2:00 PM with visitation from 10:00 AM until service time.
