Obituary for Allen Bidwell Smith Allen Bidwell Smith, age 98, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Meadow Grove Rehabilitation. Allen was born in Madison Co., Ohio on September 13, 1919 to Denton and Myrta (Bidwell) Smith. Allen proudly served our country in the US Army WWII.

He retired from White Westinghouse. Allen was a member of Glenwood United Methodist Church. Allen will be remembered for being a handyman who could fix anything.

Preceded in death by his wife, Betty Smith; 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Survived by his son, Rick (Patty) Smith; grandchildren, Edward Allen, Christopher Patrick (Karli) and Troy Andrew (Tiffany); great grandchildren, Anya Trystin, Avry, Patrick, Tucker, Amelia, Claire and Meredith. Family will received friends on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 4-8:00 pm at the HEART and HOPE FUNERAL HOME by SCHOEDINGER, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio where funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, July 6, 2018 with Nephew Dale Smith officiating.

Interment Sunset Cemetery. Family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Meadow Grove and Mt. Carmel Hospice for their wonderful care.
