Allen Boumont September 30, 1934 – January 2, 2019 Allen A. Boumont, 84, passed away on January 2, 2019 at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City, ND. A memorial service with Military Honors will be held in the spring. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Wahpeton, ND in the spring.

Allen Archie Boumont, the son of Achille and Hilda (Carlson) Boumont, was born in Wahpeton, ND on September 30, 1934. He attended Wahpeton State School of Science and moved to Valley City, ND in 1955 and was employed as a printer and linotype operator for Brown Lithograph. In 1957, Allen was drafted into the US Army and served for 35 years in the ND Army National Guard, retiring in 1992 as Master Sergeant.

He was a past member of the Valley City Country Club, Elks, VFW, Eagles, Past Worshipful Master of the Valley City Masonic Lodge, member of the Shriners, member and president of the Valley City Jaycees and also member and Senator of the Junior Chamber International. Allen is survived by his wife Darlene, Valley City, ND; one daughter JoLynn (Rich) Brandenberger, Hankinson, ND; one step-son, Rodney Hellickson, Valley City, ND; three grandsons, Jake Brandenberger, Nick Brandenberger and Logan Boumont; two granddaughters, Amber Watson and Jamie Boumont; four great-grandchildren, Michael Boumont and Brayden Brandenberger, Olivia and Sawyer Watson. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, his son Kevin, two brothers, Denny and Ernest and one sister, Doris Strand.
