Obituary for Allen Wayne Lambert Mr. Allen “Wayne” Lambert, 71, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at his home in Kannapolis. A memorial service is scheduled for 5:00 pm Friday, June 22, 2018, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:45 pm Friday at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Lambert was born December 28, 1946 in Concord. He was a son of the late Rev. R.L. Lambert and Juanita Lambert.

In his earlier years, he worked with his father as a painter. He retired from Land Star, where he was a long haul truck driver. He was an avid musician with various gospel groups.

He loved wrestling and NASCAR. He was the BEST! !

! In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jewell Mills. Mr. Lambert is survived by his wife, Karen Burgess Lambert; three daughters, Michelle Helms and husband Derek of Kannapolis, Mandi Hoyle and husband Frank of Kannapolis and Summer Lambert of the home; sister, Loretta Callicutt of the home; three grandchildren; and several nieces.
