Jeanette Bailey Thompson, 91, of Princess Ave. , Concord, NC, passed away Sunday, July 22, at the Tucker Hospice House. She was born November 5, 1926, in Shelby, NC to the late Henry Bailey and the late Carvie Lyles Bailey.

Jeanette was a graduate of G.W. Carver High School and Cosmetology School and was employed as a beautician for over 50 years. Jeanette was a member of Impact Church, Sisters in Partnership and former President of the NC State Beauticians and Cosmetologists Association, Inc. Chapter 50 for 30 years. Services will be held Saturday, July 28, at Impact Church.

Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 PM with funeral services at 2:00. Burial will follow at the Rutherford Memorial Cemetery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Thompson, Jr; two sons, Aubrey (Durette) Thompson and Kenneth Thompson.

Those left to cherish fond memories include a daughter, Arlene B. Thompson of Concord; son, Leroy Wayne Thompson (Shirley) of Charlotte; three grandchildren, Anthony Thompson, Danielle Parks, Maya Thompson; one great-grandchild, Madisyn Thompson; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
