Emma Jean Richardson Farrow, 83, of Quill Court Kannapolis, NC, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018, at Hunter Woods Nursing Center in Charlotte, NC. She was born, July 5, 1935 in Halifax County, NC to the late Carey Richardson, Sr., and the late Mildred Alston Richardson Emma was a graduate of Huntington High School in Newport News, VA and was formerly employed by Crescent Manor in Waterbury, CT. She formerly attended Restoration Springs of Waterbury, CT, where she served as Mother of the Church; she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Kannapolis.

Services will be held Thursday, July 19, at Bethel Baptist Church. Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 PM with funeral services at 2:00PM. Burial will take place in Waterbury, CT.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Farrow. Those left to cherish fond memories include three sons, Eric Farrow, Sr. (Samantha), Kirk Farrow (Michelle) both of Waterbury, CT, Michael Farrow (Rose) of Terryville, CT; two daughters, Michelle McClure (Gary) of Concord, NC and Nicole Hicks (James) of Kannapolis, NC; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Milton Richardson (Alice) of Florida, Otis Richardson, Sr. of Piscataway, NJ, Spencer Richardson of Newport News, VA, Carl Richardson (Ruth) of Colin, TX; four sisters, Cunice Richardson of Newport News, VA, Mildred Louise Smith (Harry) of Clarksville, TN, Bernice Dillard (Stanley) and Sandra Martin (Rudy) both of Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
