Obituary for Alliene Willie Hicks Alliene Willie Hicks, 88, of Romance, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at her home. She was born December 27, 1929 in Pleasant Plains to the late Edward and Cordie Miller. Alliene worked at Speed Queen for many years before going to work in the hotel business.

When in retirement she enjoyed spending time at home and working the garden and tending to her plants. Ms. Alliene’s favorite color was yellow, if it was yellow she loved it. If you wanted to affectionately aggravate and get her attention all you had to do was call her Willie, which her son would do on occasion to tease her.

She is survived by her son, Walter Wayne Hicks. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, E.W. Hicks. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob-Judsonia.
