Althea S. Kempf, 87, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her to meet her Lord in Heaven on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Adelaide Place in Fond du Lac, WI. She was born on January 21, 1931 in Sheboygan County, the daughter of the late Manvill and Elsa Schneider. After High School, Althea married the late Marvin E. Kempf on October 15, 1949 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Scott.

She worked at the Beechwood Rest Home for several years and then Regal Ware in Kewaskum for 27 years as a Specialty Orders Secretary. Althea was a gifted musician and taught piano and accordion lessons in the past. She was the organist for Immanuel Lutheran Church for over 40 years.

Those Althea leaves behind to cherish her memory include her children, Ronald (Jacalyn) Kempf of West Bend, Dale (Wendy) Kempf of West Bend, Kathryn Kempf (special friend, Kathleen Seibel) of Fond du Lac, Bruce (Lynn) Kempf of Moose Lake, Minnesota, and Bryan (Mary) Kempf, of Kewaskum; grandchildren, Samantha, Andrew (Bridget), Ryan, Jason, Eric, Lauren (Erin), Paul (Sam), Sondra, Gabe (Danielle), and Travis (Gina); great-grandchildren, Dillion, Lucas, Meadow, Elijah, Clayton, Brynlee, Lila, Leo, and Landon; siblings, Bud Schneider, Dolores Waech; and a sister-in-law, Joan Schneider. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Dwight Kempf; infant great-granddaughter, Sarah Kempf; brother, Leonard Schneider; sister-in-law, Mary Schneider; and brother-in-law, James Waech.

A funeral service in remembrance of Althea will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, W8497 Brazelton Drive, in the town of Scott, with Rev. Brian Krueger officiating. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in the town of Scott.

Althea’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Immanuel Lutheran Church Organ Fund. Althea’s family would like to thank the staff at Adelaide Place and Agnesian Hospice Hope for their care and support.

Althea will always be remembered for her strong faith and dedication to serving the Lord.
