Ralph J. “Ralphie” Schmidt, 75, of Kewaskum, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018, at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. Ralph was born on December 12, 1942, in West Bend, the son of the late Emil and Margaret (Doll) Schmidt. On April 4, 1970, Ralph was united in marriage to Joyce Goeden at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend.

Ralph was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. He was employed at Regal Ware for 42 years doing numerous jobs there. Ralph was a member of the 25 year club and NAMI of Washington County.

He loved polka dancing, enjoyed reading, and was fond of his stuffed dogs and miniature John Deere tractors. Those Ralph leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Joyce; his daughter, Christine Holliman of Caledonia; three brothers, Joseph Schmidt, Walter Schmidt, Raymond (Betty) Schmidt; two brothers-in-law, Herbert Goeden and Edward (Carole) Goeden; three sisters-in-law, Alice Schmidt, MaryAnn (Al) Hupfer, and Margaret (Ralph) Goeden-Chapman; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by a brother Leander Schmidt; two sisters, Catherine (Matthias) Schickert and Lena (Eugene) Wiedmeyer; two brothers-in-law, Father Earl Goeden and Richard Goeden; three sisters-in-law, Darlene Schmidt, Barbara Schmidt, and Barbara Goeden; his godson, Donald Schmidt and his parents-in-law, Walter and Isabelle Goeden.

Ralph’s family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main Street, in Kewaskum, on Friday, May 25, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with marks of remembrance held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial for Ralph will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum with Rev. Edwin Kornath officiating. Entombment will be on Tuesday at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
