Alto Clois Porter, 81, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation is 5-8 pm Wednesday May 23, 2018 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and 10 am Thursday at Trinity Baptist Church in Florence. Services are 11 am Thursday at Trinity Baptist Church with a 2 pm graveside at Morton Memorial Gardens.

Rev. James Brown will officiate. Mr. Porter was a native of Scott County and a longtime resident of Rankin County.

He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Florence. Survivors include his daughter, Lawana Q. Ainsworth (Steve) of Brandon; sons, Ronald A. Porter (Ann) of Clinton and Timothy E. Porter of Brandon; sister, Lazora Eichelberger of Brandon; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Milda Quaye Porter in 2005 and a number of siblings.
