Obituary for Alva Lois Watson-Hull Alva Lois Watson-Hull passed away September 6 surrounded by loved ones. Alva was a San Antonio resident for 91 years, graduating from Brackenridge High School. She was married Gene Hull /World War II Navy veteran, for 69 years (deceased).
Gene and Alva enjoyed many years of dancing and fun as members of the Bexar Squares Club. They were a long-time active members volunteering at many events and services of Shearer Hills Baptist Church and they were previously members of Central Baptist Church for 30 years. Alva was a beautiful person with a kind soul and huge heart.
She was the heartbeat of her family and primary ‘lead organizer’ of her family and friends. Alva was always ensuring time and plenty of food was enjoyed with her 2 daughters, 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren as well as many other family and friends. In the week before her passing Alva expressed her belief that she had an extremely blessed and full life and at 91 she was ready to meet her late husband Gene and daughter Sharon in heaven.
Alva is survived by her Daughter, Vivian Mott-Sayers, (husband Brian), daughter, Sharon Eggleston (deceased), (husband Tye). Grandson Greg Mott, granddaughter in-law Christine, Granddaughter Heather Heick; and 5 great-grandchildren Blake, Reagan, Parker, Caitlin and Helena Mott. She is survived numerous nieces, nephews and many great friends.
