Obituary for Mr. Alvin “Bobby” Robert Stephens Mr. Alvin Robert ‘Bobby” Stephens, age 71, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018. A Celebration of Life service will be 12 noon Saturday, December 22, 2018, at The Loft. Brother Willie Brown will officiate.

The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service at the church. He was born February 22, 1947, in Shelbyville, to the late Robert Lee and Eula Mae Sanders Stephens. Bobby was retired from Armstrong Ceiling as a carpet installer, and was an avid bass fisherman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Willie “Buddy” Stephens, a sister, Hazel Bogle, and a sister in law, Nancy Hart. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Linda Prater Stephens; two sons, Wesley Stephens and Arthur (Misty Leverette) Stephens, all of Shelbyville; two brothers, Roy (Mary Lou Epperson) Stephens and Ricky “ Rock” (Kathy) Stephens; two sisters, Janet Fay Brown and Frances (Larry) Baucom; sisters in law, Debbie (Parks) Norman, Kathy (Terry) Smith, Barbara Allen, Sharon (Danny) Bobo, and Cindy (Jerry) Fanning; brother in law, Silas Prater; grandchildren, Dylan Stephens, Tyler Stephens, and Lindsey Stephens; great grandchild, Sophia Stephens; a host of nieces and nephews. Memorial may be made to The Loft, 208 Elm Street, Shelbyville, TN 37160.
