“I have fought a good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith”. It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of Alvin E. LeBlanc, Jr. at the age of 80. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Alvin a native and resident of Plattenville passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carolyn Diaz LeBlanc; son, Mark; daughters, Lisa Westerfield (Timmy) and Julie Luquette (Robert); grandchildren, Nicholas (Ann) and Benjamin (Lori) LeBlanc, Katie and Evan Westerfield, Logan (fiancée Natalia) and Maci Luquette; great-grandchildren, Hayze, Lizzye, and Lucy LeBlanc. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Edith LeBlanc, Sr.; and brothers, Eugene and Donald LeBlanc.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Plattenville, Louisiana from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon. The burial will follow in Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Plattenville, Louisiana. Alvin retired as supervisor of Bayou Lafourche Fresh Water District.
