Obituary for Barbara LeBlanc Ledet Barbara LeBlanc Ledet, a resident of Thibodaux, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the age of 83. A visitation will be held at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 9:30 AM until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 noon.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. She is survived by her children, Liz L. Hays (Donald), Terry Ledet (Joy), Jerry Ledet (Lisa), Marie L. LeBlanc (Rodney), and Tim Ledet (Kristi); grandchildren, Brad Ledet, Jordan LeBlanc, Dylan Hays, Melody Ledet, Eric LeBlanc, Zachary Hays, Ryne Ledet, Gabrielle LeBlanc, Reid Ledet, and Reyna Ledet; great-grandchildren, Karter Ledet and Frances LeBlanc; siblings, Bolton LeBlanc Jr., Goldie L. Cheramie, Donald LeBlanc, Paul LeBlanc, Mary L. Folse, and Helen L. Lester; and sisters-in-law, Carolyn Hayward and Ferdie Ledet. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elvin P. Ledet Jr.; parents, Bolton and Noemie LeBlanc Sr.; and granddaughter-in-law, Lesley B. LeBlanc.

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, and granny as well as compassionate friend. She was a career registered nurse. She enjoyed traveling with friends and family.

The family would like to thank Dr. Fuloria and Dr. Chester Boudreaux for their continued care. They would also like to express their sincere gratitude to caregivers, Donna Byrd, Cathy Johnson, Sarah Johnson and Amanda Johnson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Genevieve School, E.D. White Catholic High School or the National Shrine of Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos.
