Amber’s Obituary Amber Lynn Hoaglin, age 36 of Bitely, formerly of Albion, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 16, 2019 following injuries received in an automobile accident. Amber was born on October 7, 1982 in Albion to Edward “Eli” and Wanda Kay (Otto) Ellis and graduated from Western High School in Parma, Michigan. Amber later married Robert Hoaglin in August 2002.

Amber moved to the Bitely area in the fall of 2018 from Albion and was a certified in Safe Serve in the food industry and had worked at the St. John’s Public Schools and various restaurants. Amber was proud of her Native American heritage and culture, she was also a member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians in Manistee. Amber enjoyed the Michigan Outdoors – fishing, camping and taking care of people.

Amber is survived by her husband, Robert of Bitely; her children, Dakota, Marcus and Timothy Hoaglin; her parents, Edward “Eli” and Wanda Kay Ellis of Bitely, formerly of Albion; paternal grandmother, Anna Marie Ellis of Onondaga, Michigan; her sisters and brothers, Angela (Mike) Grames of Hillsdale; Shianna (Dallas) Ellis of Albion; Anthony Ellis of Troy, Michigan; Roxxanne Ellis of Albion; Brittany (Chris Stull) Ellis of Wixom; Izayah “ZayZay” Ellis of Bitely; sister-in-law, Lynnette (Dan) Nortley of Jackson; Bruce and Jo Gage of Spartanburg, South Carolina; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Celebration of Life Services will be held later this summer in the Albion area following Amber’s wishes for cremation. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Amber Lynn Hoaglin family for memorial contributions in memory of Amber.
