Amber Nichole McClaughlin December 20, 1980 – February 10, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Mrs. Amber Nichole Smithson McClaughlin of Trumann, Ark. , departed this life on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark. , at the age of 38 years, 1 month and 21 days.

She was born in Jonesboro, Ark. , and was a lifetime resident of Trumann. Amber was a wildcat cheerleader from 8th to 12th grade and was an All-American cheerleader for 2 years.

Amber graduated with an Associates Degree in business from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro in 2003. Amber lived and loved watching her children grow up and play sports, she was so proud of her kids, and their hard work in school. She loved her family, friends and she always took care of everyone.

Always had her husband and their coach’s back and was an organ donor. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, J.W. and Janiece “Mama Niece” Smithson, Ira and Martha Abbott, Jay and Ella “Big Mama” Smithson, Melanie Dawn Smithson Cox, Jerry Ferguson, Bessie “Nana” McClaughlin and father-in-law, Mike Davies. .

She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Brandon McClaughlin of the home; one daughter, Hannah McClaughlin; one son, Brayden McClaughlin; her mother, Debbie Smithson and father, Randy Richards; one brother Derick Smithson and wife Brittany; Aunt Dana Ferguson, Uncle Michael Smithson and wife Shannon; cousins Jerra, Jordan, Malorie, Katie, and Melissa; niece Danielle Colh and nephews, Garen and Devin Smithson; mother and father in law, Glyn and Lisa Clemons; sister-in-law Jessica and husband Jessie McClaughlin, and her best family and friends, Lori Adams, Woody Adams, Andrea Coin and Jason Brown. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Funeral service will be Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Jackie Byest officiating.

Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Pallbearers will be Gary Richey, Jason Brown, Josh Brown, Jaron Brown, Dawson Brown, John McClaughlin, Tracy Dunavin, Woody Adams, and Uncle Al Miller. Online guest book can be signed at www.
