Obituary for Ambiro Cavazos Sr. Mission – Ambiro Cavazos, Sr., 85, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at his residence in Mission. Ambiro was born October 20, 1932 in Granjeno, TX. He is the son of the late Jose Cavazos and the late Concepcion (Reyna) Cavazos.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Maria D. Cavazos and a son in Sept. 2000: Ambiro (Juanita) Cavazos, Jr He is survived by seven sons: Arnoldo (Anabelia†) Cavazos of Mission, Cesar (Nora) Cavazos of Irving, Omar Cavazos, Jorge (Alma) Cavazos, Roberto Cavazos, Ezequiel Cavazos and Rene (Annette) Cavazos all of Mission; nine daughters: Aida (Rigoberto) Garcia of McAllen, Leticia (Francisco) Mendoza of Mission, Imelda (Benito) Munoz of Irving, Olga Cavazos of Edinburg, Belinda (Oscar) Zamora of Penitas, Thelma Cavazos of Palmview, Maria De Jesus (Ellis) Fugate of Illinois, Annabel (Abelardo) Guerra of Mission and Veronica (Alberto) Regalado of Mission; 51 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sunday, April 22, 2018 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, L.L.C. of Mission. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:00 pm Monday, April 23, 2018 at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
