Angela “Angie” Diaz Rodriquez Arnold of Central Point, Oregon, passed away December 5, 2018. She was born on November 22, 1940, in Seville, Spain. She met her husband, James “Dave” Arnold while he served in the U.S. Navy, stationed near her hometown.

Angie and Dave married on December 31, 1960, and were together for 55 years until his death in 2016. Two of her biggest passions were sewing and gardening – anything she planted grew to perfection. Angie’s next greatest love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she had many.

Her eight granddaughters and three great-grandkids knew Grandma’s support was infinite and unconditional. Angie and Dave were fixtures at sporting events, recitals, plays, award ceremonies, anything that involved family. She is survived by her son and two daughters: Debbie Arnold of Central Point, Oregon; Mike Arnold of Cottage Grove, Oregon; and Susan Devlin of Cottage Grove, Oregon; and their children.

Inurnment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Oregon. The family would like to thank the caregivers and administration of Middlefield Oaks Memory Care facility for their care of Angie in her final years. Your help for our loved one is deeply appreciated.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are in the care of Smith Lund Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove, Oregon.
