Harriet Emma Smith of Cottage Grove, OR died on January 19, 2019 at the age of 96. She was born on March 7, 1922, in Cottage Grove to parents Earl and Anna (Haney) Harris. She loved to sew.

She made dolls and doll clothes, clothes for her grandchildren, wedding dresses and prom dresses. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Cottage Grove. Harriet married Robert E. Lee Smith on December 21, 1939.

She is survived by son, Harlan and Shannon Smith of Hillsboro, OR, and Shawn and Greer Smith and their spouses and children; son, Harvey Smith, and Holly Langston and Adam Smith; daughter, Alex Harris and Kevin McCarthy, and Eva Bray, David Bray, and Eric Bray. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Lee Smith, 3 daughters and one grandchild. Services were held on Saturday, January 26, at 1:00 PM at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove.
