Anita’s Obituary STEELEVILLE – Anita Rohlfing, 94, of Steeleville passed away at 5:50 PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at the Randolph County Care Center, Sparta. Anita was born on April 23, 1924, in Chester, the daughter of Carl H and Olga C. (Sickmeyer) Block. She married Marvin Rohlfing, on June 2, 1946, in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Wine Hill, and they shared 27 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on December 16, 1973.

Anita was a homemaker and a member of the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Steeleville, life member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #480, Steeleville, St. Mark’s Priscilla Club. Anita was an avid quilter, and loved to cook for her family, she loved to collect Cardinal Figurines, and loved Cardinals Baseball. Anita is survived by her children; Carol Lowe, of Steeleville, Dale Rohlfing, of Rochester, Minnesota, Larry Dean (Debra) Arlington, Texas, 7 grandchildren; Melissa Lowe-Gress, Melanie Proctor, Jessica, David Rohlfing, Katherine Rohlfing, Jaylen Rodriguez, Jourdain Williams.

Mrs. Rohlfing was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister; T. Lucille Uchtman, and 1 brother; Adolf Block. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Monday, March 25, 2019, at the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Steeleville, with Rev. William F. Engfehr, III officiating, burial will follow at the Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville.

Visitation will be held on Sunday evening at the Wilson’s Funeral Home in Steeleville where friends may call from 5 to 8 PM, and then on Monday from 7:30 to 11 AM and from 12 noon to 1 PM at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
