Ann’s Obituary Ann Backen, 78, of Minnetonka, died Sunday, May 19, 2019. A long-time employee with the Hennepin County Library System, she was an active volunteer at the Church of St. Therese of Deephaven. She enjoyed gardening and singing with groups at church.

Ann was preceded in death by husband, Bob. She is survived by children, Pat (Kathy), Dan and Beth (Keith Lockwood) Backen; grandchildren, Robert and Jenny. In honor of her caregivers, memorials are preferred to the Medical Careers Pathways at The International Institute of MN (iimn.org/programs/workforce-development/medical-careers).
