Ann V. Dempsey, 85, of Union Beach, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey. She was born Ann V. Francies on June 5, 1933 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where she grew up. After marriage, Ann and her husband, Paul, raised their family in New Jersey, and in 1987, they retired to South Venice, Florida.

She was presently living in Union Beach with her daughter, Patricia. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Victoria (Ruszala) Francies, her beloved husband, Paul J. Dempsey and her dear brother, Jose Francies. Ann is survived by her loving children, Deborah Stewart and her husband, Kirk, of Newark, Maryland, Patricia “Patty” McGreevy and her fiance, Steven Meyers, of Union Beach, New Jersey, Michael Dempsey, of Union Beach, New Jersey, and Michelle Hollinger and her husband, Ewald, of Keansburg, New Jersey, and her cherished grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, and David Arnold, Sarah and Rebecca Walter, Ashley McGreevy, Megan, Kristi, and Samantha Simonson, along with her adored great grandchildren, Christopher and Declan Arnold, Carter and Zayne Elting, and Riley Simonson.

Ann is also survived by her dear siblings, Antonio, Ruben, Fernando, Guillermo, Irma, Lupe and Ana Francies. Ann will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. In respect of Ann’s wishes, she will be privately cremated.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10:15 AM at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 376 Maple Place, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
