Beacon Falls-Ann W. (Walsh) Mis, age 90, widow of Edmund Mis, passed away at the Lutheran Home of Southbury peacefully on Thursday January 24, 2019. She was born in Waterbury, CT on December 20, 1928, daughter of the late John and Anna (Mahoney) Walsh. Ann was a longtime resident of Beacon Falls and retired from Scovill Hamilton Beach after many years serving as executive secretary.

She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church and a member of the Evergreen Club at Waterbury Hospital. Ann is survived by her children, James Mis and his wife Mary of Tarpon Springs, FL, and Carolyn Duhaime and her husband Peter of Derby; her grandchildren, John and Daniel Mis; her great grandchildren Mikayla Ann and Lexi Mis; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Francis Walsh, retired Battalion Chief of the Waterbury Fire Department, and Raymond Walsh; and her sister Eleanor Dodd.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday January 31, 2019 at 10: 30 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, to St. Michael’s Church, 25 Maple Avenue, Beacon Falls, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery.
