Obituary for Michael Angelo Croce Print Michael Angelo Croce 1940 – 2018 Melbourne, FL Michael Angelo Croce, 78, husband of Diane (Jacoboski) Croce, died December 24, 2018 in Florida. Mike was born on December 12, 1940 in Waterbury, CT a son of the late Giovanni and Lucia Croce and had lived in Naugatuck for most of his life before moving to Florida. Mike was a proud U.S. Army veteran and he was a member of the Rat Pack Motorcycle Club.
Mike worked in sales for Plume and Atwood, drove a school bus for Region 15 and also worked as a dealer at the Foxwoods Casino. In addition to his wife Diane, Mike is survived by his son, Steven M. Croce (Kelly); his daughter, Jennifer Alvarez (Peter); his brothers, Jack Croce and Raymond Croce (Kathy); his grandchildren, Michael Vincent Croce (Rachel), Kellen Croce, Alexandra Croce, Steven M. Croce, II, Abbey Croce, Peter Alvarez, Ian Alvarez and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 4-7pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
Military Honors will be accorded at 7:00pm at the funeral home. Members of the Naugatuck Veterans Council will assemble at 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers and to honor Mike’s memory, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
