Anna M. Klinger, 69, of Montgomery, died Monday, November 5, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Born September 28, 1949 in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late Earnest L. and Margaret Anna (Wallis) Sheatler. On May 3, 1974 she married David L. Klinger, who survives.

Together they celebrated 44 years of marriage. Anna was a 1967 graduate of Muncy High School. She attended the former Williamsport School of Commerce.

Anna worked as a corrections officer at the former Muncy State Home, now SCI, Muncy, for eight years. Anna was of Evangelical faith. She was a loving, caring mother, committed to raising her family.

She was very compassionate and also enjoyed being a home caretaker for the elderly. Anna was a skilled seamstress and loved making clothing for her children and grandchildren, especially dresses for special occasions. She was also fond of crocheting and making crafts.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, David W. Klinger, of Montoursville, Brenda Lee (Ronald) Sorenson, of CO, Scott E. (Tina) Klinger, of Montoursville and Tammy Sue Snyder, of Montgomery; two brothers, Paul (Jeanine) Sheatler, of NH and James (Genevieve) Sheatler, of Hughesville; a sister, Kathy (David) Grenoble, of Watsontown; six grandchildren, Chastity, Ariel, Coral and Katie Klinger and Pattianne and Matthew Sorenson; and two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Tobias Klinger. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Myron Sheatler and a sister, Betty Mordan. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev.

Dan Cale, pastor of Evangelical Friends Church, Hughesville, officiating. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Anna’s name be made to a charity of one’s choice.
