Anna Van Heest, aged 88, of Grand Rapids, died on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. Anna was born on November 9, 1930 in Denekamp to Harm and Dirkje Kist. On November 8, 1955 in Amsterdam she was united in marriage to Leonard Van Heest and they came to the United States in 1957.

Anna was a member of Woodlawn Christian Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard, son Jeffrey, granddaughter Jessica, granddaughter Morgan Kacmar-DeHaan and great granddaughter Hannah DeHaan. Anna is survived by her daughter Jacqueline (John) Boer, son in law Stephen Kacmar, daughter in law Debra Stroven, grandson, Collin (Alyshia) Kacmar, great grandchildren, Jordyn DeHaan, Jasmin Geerling, Bentley Geerling, Annalyse Kacmar and Jaxson Kacmar.

Funeral services will be held on Friday May 10th, 11am at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Chapel, with The Rev. Michael F. Abma officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 10 to 11am.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Bethany Christian Services – Adoption Program.
