Anna’s Obituary Anna Mae Williams, age 88, of Grand Rapids, went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2019. Anna was born on October 9, 1930, in Toledo, OH, to Cleo and Margaret Heising. She was a 1948 graduate of Grand Rapids High School.

Anna was known as a very hard worker having worked at Saylor Products in Grand Rapids for 60 years. A plaque in her honor read “When God made you, He threw away the mold”. This was so true of Anna.

She volunteered various times during the Apple Butter Fest along with being a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #232 in Grand Rapids. She was a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church as well as a member of the Historical Society. She married Ora Robert Williams in 1950; he survives.

Surviving also are son James, Grand Rapids, daughter Diana, Whitehouse; grandsons Doug (Janell Shontz) Hoodlebrink of Gibsonburg; Dennis (Niki Streib) Hoodlebrink, Pemberville; great grandson Zachary, great grand-daughters Alyssa and Paige; step-great grandchildren, Nate (Jessica Johnston) Pelton and Joey Pelton of Findlay; step-great great grand-daughters, Addilyn and Amaya Pelton. She is also survived by sisters Mary Lou Fortney, Maumee; Delores Miller, Grand Rapids; Catherine “Katie” Nix, Surprise, AZ; and Pat Heising, Grand Rapids. Anna was preceded in death by her son Robert Lee Williams; brother John Heising and James Heising and her parents.

Friends and family are welcome to call at the Wright-Hanneman Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, OH, on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 6-8. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 14010 S. River Rd. , Grand Rapids, OH at 10 a.m. with Fr.

Walter Tuscano officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler. Donations may be made to the church, Maurer Family Cancer Care Center, or Bridge Hospice.
