Anne E. Zuehl, age 82 of the Town of Dupont, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at The Pines Post-Acute & Memory Care, Embarrass. Anne Elizabeth Zuehl was born January 31, 1936 in Fond du Lac, WI, daughter to the late George R. & Adeline (Kussow) Trier. She attended nursing school in Milwaukee, and after graduation, worked for the Milwaukee County Hospital, and later the Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.

Anne was united in marriage to Ronald H. Zuehl on January 16, 1960 in Milwaukee; the couple moved to Pewaukee for a time, and later moved to the Town of Grant in 1971 where they built a home. Ron & Anne purchased the Caroline Ballroom where she loved to tend bar and visit with customers; the couple operated that establishment for over 25 years. Anne again found work in nursing as a CNA at The Pines Post-Acute & Memory Care, formerly Pine Manor, until retirement.

Anne liked to travel and was able to visit places like: Alaska, Hawaii, California, and Disney World in Florida, just to name a few. She also enjoyed camping with family. Anne was an active member at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in the Town of Dupont and was also a member of the Caroline Lioness.

She really enjoyed reading, puzzle books, and watching Law & Order, SVU. Anne & Ron had many pets over the years: a bird, Oscar; a cat, Peaches; and many dogs; Anne loved them all and considered them part of the family. She was a very good cook and her family always looked forward to her “signature stuffing”.

Anne will be remembered as a very caring person who loved her whole family dearly and made sure they all knew it. Survivors include: Husband: Ronald Sons: Brian (Karen) Zuehl, Marion & Howard (Tammy) Zuehl, Clintonville Grandchildren: Nicole (Scott) Handley, Katie (Chad) Love, Bradley (Amber) Zuehl, Adam (Tanya) Zuehl, & Cody (Nichole) Zuehl Great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Alayna, Hailey, Ethan, Angela, Lillian, Elijah, Logan, Isaiah, & Adeline Anne was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Scott & Greg Zuehl; & a sister, Joan Kubelt. Memorial services will be held 11 AM Monday, October 29, 2018 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Town of Dupont, with the Rev.

Karen Riemer officiating. Inurnment will take place privately at a later date. Friends may call on Monday at the church from 9 AM until the time of the service.
