Obituary for Anne L Slate Anne L Slate, 56, of Aberdeen, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 surrounded by her family. Born on June 2, 1961 in Bronx, NY, Anne lived in Aberdeen for 23 years before retiring to Delray Beach, Florida. Anne worked as a Legal Assistant in Manhattan, NY for 15 years, and then for Superior Court of NJ in Freehold, NJ for 5 years.

Anne was a Communicant and Eucharistic Minister at St. Benedict Church in Holmdel, and recently attended Most Holy Redeemer Church in Old Bridge . She was a very devout Catholic and an active member of St. Benedicts Prayer Group. Anne also volunteered at the Monmouth County S.P.C.A.

Some of Anne’s favorite activities were cooking, hiking, playing with her grandchildren and taking care of her two beloved dogs, Chewy and Boots. Anne is survived by her loving Husband James G. Slate of 37 years, her son and daughter in law, Eric and Sara; her daughter Kristine; two sisters, her identical twin Alice Coppola, and Judith DeFeo and her husband Richard; two Grandchildren, Julianna and Lucas; a neice, Anya; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Cappola, and her mother, Josephine Gaudio.

Memorial Visitation will be held Friday, April 13, 2018, 9:30 am – 10:30 am at Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 Hwy. 79, Morganville, NJ. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, April 13, 2018, 11:00 am at the Most Holy Redeemer Church, Matawan, NJ.

Cremation will take place privately in the Holy Cross Crematory, East Brunswick, NJ. In lieu of flowers, Memorials are suggested in Anne’s memory to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or the Monmouth County S.P.C.A. Online condolences can be given at www.
