While surrounded by her dearest loved ones, Anne Michele Workman Trover peacefully left this earthly life on June 15, 2018 to return to her Heavenly Father. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be missed greatly by all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Michele was born on January 23, 1955 to Dallas and Geneve Workman in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was raised in California for a short time and later settled with her family in Centerville, Utah. There she made many special memories among wonderful neighbors and life-long friends.

As a spunky little kid, she always put up a fight to have her photo taken, and her spunk stayed with her throughout her life. Always up for an adventure, she traveled with a dear friend to live in Connecticut after high school to be a nanny for a year. She couldn’t be intimidated by a roller coaster, liked to drive a little too fast, and wouldn’t back down from any challenge.

On July 7, 1979 she took on an adventure of a different kind by marrying her sweetheart and best friend Michael Scott Trover, along with becoming an instant stepmother to his three small children. Continuing the adventure, Michele and Mike later had two daughters together and have called Wanship, UT “home” for the last 30 years. Michele enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, planning dinner gatherings, laughing and joking, capturing memories on camera, making birthdays and holidays special, collecting and reading food magazines, traveling, and being outdoors.

She was a foodie and appreciated good meals and service at any restaurant. But her favorite meals always came from her own kitchen. She loved cooking with her husband and creating delicious dishes for everyone to enjoy.

Michele possessed many talents. Among them were her culinary skills, keeping things organized, remembering significant numbers from her past, having an eye for detail, being a loyal friend, coordinating special events, showing gratitude, and loving whatever and whomever meant the most to her with her whole heart and soul. She was welcoming, inclusive, and kind.

When you were in her presence you knew you mattered. Of her many accomplishments, none can top her labor of love: creating and growing her Pepperlane Products business from 1990 to 2014. As an entrepreneur she started her business after creating her “pepper jelly” recipe and sharing the interesting green jars of jelly with neighbors and friends who quickly fell in love with the tasty condiment.

It wasn’t long before special requests for orders started, additional flavors evolved, and an official business was born. She was the creator, the producer, the salesperson, the warehouse, and sometimes even the delivery woman. She did it all for 19 years until it became too big to do alone.

After finding business partners, together they grew the business to a new level. Selling her share of the company to her partners five years later was one of the hardest points in her life, but they are continuing the legacy she began and keeping the Pepperlane Products name going strong. Michele faced many hard roads in her beautiful life, especially these last three years.

With those hardships she uncovered a ferocious inner strength that her family and friends were blessed to have witnessed and be inspired by. She leaves a legacy of courage, hard work, determination, integrity, and a deep love for the life she lived, and the family she has parted from. We know we will get to look into her big blue eyes and hear her infectious laugh again.

Until then, we know she is a protective angel looking over us. Michele was preceded in death by her mother, Geneve Workman. She is survived by her husband, Mike Trover, and her children: Rebecca (Easton) Kelsey, Scott (Alisha) Trover, Jessica (Travis) Neumann, Mariah (David) Lingwall, and Whitney (Mike) Goodrich.

She is also survived by her father, Dallas Workman, and her siblings: Soozie (Leo) Vetiritto, Ray (Beverly) Workman, Kathie (Mike) Moore and Mike (Cindy) Workman. She also leaves behind five granddaughters: Jaycee (Shane) Weniger, Lyndee Clark, Afton and Elsie Neumann, Marley Goodrich, and six grandsons: Morgan and Samuel Trover, Boston, Griffin, and Ledger Lingwall, and Isaac Goodrich. All these in addition to an extended family of nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

A viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 21st at the Wanship LDS Ward Chapel, 30899 Old Lincoln Highway in Wanship, Utah. There will be a family prayer at 10:40 a.m. before the funeral service begins at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 22nd at the same chapel. Interment at Centerville City Cemetery following the family luncheon.

Michele’s family would like to thank The Huntsman Cancer Institute, along with all the doctors, nurses, and the other medical staff who took such good care of her over the past three years. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Huntsman Cancer Institute.
