Annette Patrice Pearson was born in Newport News, Virginia, to parents Maxine and Roy Pearson, Sr. Later, her parents moved to Plainfield, New Jersey, along with her older sibling Roy Pearson, Jr. Annette attended Plainfield High School, where she displayed her bright and creative mind. Annette never hesitated to express her feelings. Her passions included poetry, writing, and fashion.

She took her sobriety very seriously and had over twenty years clean and sober. She contributed to her community through work as a cook, childcare provider, nurse’s aide, and recreation and program planner. She gave birth to three children; Dane Douglas Doyle, Jr., Maxine Latrice Pearson, and Shane Aubrey Pearson.

She was also blessed with two grandchildren; Dane Douglas Doyle III, and Danae Danielle Doyle. Annette returned to Newport News in the spring of 2003 and remained there until her departure from this life on May 11, 2019.
