Heaven has gained the most beautiful angel. Born in Wytheville, Virginia on February 3, 1938, Annie was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, wife and woman of God.

They were active members of Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad. Before women were allowed to join, she served in the Auxiliary Corps and later became one of its first female members, later becoming an EMT. She was an active member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church and loved serving dinner and interacting with new friends during CARITAS.

Annie retired from SunTrust in 2005 and was happy to have more time to spend with her family, to devote to her church and community and care for family members. She provided end of life care for her mother, husband, cousin and sister with dedication, skill and love. She loved Coca-Cola, anything pink and a good round of Family Feud with Steve Harvey.

She had a dry wit and a wide smile that made everyone around her feel joyful and welcomed. She never met a stranger and left everyone she met better off for having known her. Parham Road, from 3 to 5 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, January 21, at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd UMC, 9155 Hungary Road.
