Obituary of Ann Harrity Ann Marie Mociun Harrity, 93, a lifelong resident of Plains Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 15, 2018. She was born on September 9, 1925, daughter of the late Charles and Maryanna Lutynski Mociun. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Plains, and was employed as a technician by the RCA Corporation in Mountaintop, Pennsylvania for 17 years.

During this time, she became the loving wife of her husband John “Jack” F. Harrity Jr. mother to her two children Jack and Maureen, and “babcia” to her two grandsons Spencer and Brian. Ann was a devout Roman Catholic and a lifelong member of Saints Peter and Paul Church, Plains Township. Throughout her life Ann was a champion bowler, seamstress, ice skater, movie lover, sports fan, and avid reader.

She also enjoyed shopping with family, cooking, baking, and having a nice cup of tea with a good friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Francis (Jack) Harrity, Jr., brothers Rev. Casmir, Stanley, Thomas, Raymond, and Ralph Mociun; sisters Alfreda Mociun and Florence Borkowski.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Cynthia Harrity, Devon, PA; grandsons Spencer and Brian Harrity; a daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Keith Jones, Shavertown, PA; a sister, Bernadine Travelstead, Davenport, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of christian burial will be held for Mrs. Harrity on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. in Saints Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains Township, with Rev. John Lambert, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends and family may call at the church on Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saints Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains Twp.
