Obituary for Anthony Freiler Antol “Anthony” Freiler, 82, of North Port, FL, formerly of Meriden and Westbrook, CT,passed away on July 10, 2016. He was born on January 17, 1934 in Wezprem Megye, Hungary to Albert and Cecelia (Steinmacher) Freiler. He came to the US in 1956 and was a Butcher and Meat Cutter.

He was a Lifetime Member of BPOE Englewood, Lifetime Member Knights of Columbus 3rd & 4th degrees and Member of Color Corps and served as Faithful Navigator in Connecticut. He enjoyed cooking and prepared the St. Patricks’ day and Octoberfest meals at LaCasa for over 10 years. He also served on the LaCasa Activity Board as Vice President.

He served as Usher at St. Mark’s Church in Westbrook, CT and at San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port FL, and was on the building committee at San Pedro Church. Antol is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Gearing) Freiler three sons, Peter (Ellen) Freiler, Eric (Alice) Freiler and Robert Freiler; daughter, Lorelei Freiler; five grandchildren, Amber, Joshua, Erzsica, Zachary and Reed and one great grandchild, McKenzie. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11am San Pedro Catholic Church, officiated by Fr.

Pat Organ, followed by reception at LaCasa Club House. Memorial donations may be made in Tony’s name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, on the web at StJude.org or to San Pedro Catholic Church.
