Anthony (Tony) Michael D’Andrea, 59, of Green was born to Donna and Gene D’Andrea on June 13, 1958 and went home to be with our eternal loving Father on May 21, 2018. One of 11 siblings, Tony is preceded in death by his father Gene D’Andrea. He is survived by his mother, Donna D’Andrea; siblings: Joe (Debbie) D’Andrea; Diane (Rick) Crano; Charles (Sandie) D’Andrea; Patrick (Maryanne) D’Andrea; Michael (Faith) D’Andrea; Gino (Gia) D’Andrea; Jim (Carol) D’Andrea; Angelo D’Andrea; Denise (Pat) Darrow; and Lisa (Chris) Stefancik; mother and father-in-law, Deanna and Pat Hurley; sister’s and brother’s in-law, Patty (Dan) Campisi; Jim (Joanne) Hurley; Mick (Pam) Hurley; Theresa (Jamie) Donald; Julie (Don) Zito, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Lynne (Hurley) D’Andrea. Tony and Lynne were a team to be reckoned with, both living, working and breathing each and every day for their family. No task was too much to handle, no job too difficult to complete.

Tony was the extremely proud and loving father to Danielle (Chris) Bellis and Trinity (Jared) Elmiger. He was loved and adored by his four beautiful grandchildren, Isabella Lynne and Jude Anthony Elmiger and Daniel Christopher and Leora Mary Bellis. His grands mutually adored him and couldn’t wait to greet him when he arrived home from work because Popaw always came home with treats and prizes.

Tony was a 1977 graduate of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School where he excelled and enjoyed journalism and history. He was a stand-out athlete on the baseball and football fields, where he earned an athletic scholarship to Heidelberg College. He shared his love of baseball with his daughters and grandchildren.

Tony was admired by all who knew him. He was a hard-working commercial truck driver for Sysco Foods for more than 30 years. He earned numerous Safe Driving Awards throughout his career.

Tony credited his father-in-law, Pat Hurley, for teaching him the trade that supported his family and helped put his two daughters through college. A lifetime member of the Teamsters Union, Tony was proud to represent fellow working men and women as a Steward for Teamsters Locals 348 and 507. He was a true embodiment of Jimmy Hoffa’s, “…any friend of labor, is a friend of mine,” and the epitome of hard work and grit.

Tony worked every day of his life with a spirit of joy and love. Tony will be greatly missed by those who loved and appreciated him most. Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2018 at Donovan Bagnoli Funeral Home, 339 Southwest Ave.
