Obago, 27, of Fort Thompson, SD will be 10:00 am Thursday, May 2, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fort Thompson with burial in the Lakeview Cemetery at Fort Thompson. Wake services will be Tuesday and Wednesday evening at 8:00 pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fort Thompson. Ariana Faye Obago blessed the lives of Heather Gayle Fleury and Russell Lee Obago on May 21, 1991 at Mid Dakota Hospital in Chamberlain, SD.
She was a true gift from God, blessing all our lives. Our lived were shattered on April 26, 2019 when God called Ariana home. She completed elementary school at Crow Creek then attended and graduated high school at Flandreau Indian School.
She went to the state spelling bee when attended Crow Creek Elementary. She was awarded an all-tourney letterman jacket for cheerleading for the Flandreau Indians during DOC tournament her junior year. She was a member of the JROTC at Flandreau Indian School.
She attended college at SDSU in Brookings where she was a member of the Native American Club. She received a letter of request for an interview with the Miss Teen USA Pagent while in her senior year. Ariana loved volleyball and played while attending school in Flandreau.
In the summers, she played softball with her mom Heather and grandma Tina in Chamberlain. She was very athletic, smart, and friendly. She was employed at the Lode Star Casino for the past two years.
She loved and was proud of her job and her fellow co-workers. She was devoted to her girls, whom she loved so much and wanted the best for them. Ariana was briefly married in 2008 to Elton Two Hawks.
They parted and went their separate ways in life. She then met Trevor Willliams in 2014 who became her soul-mate/her other half. Of this love, two beautiful daughters were born, Talani May and Tiara Lee Marie.
She loved her babies so much and was so proud of them. She often told how much she loved Trevor and appreciated him for being the best daddy. She loved her family, her brothers, sisters, and all her relatives.
She had a kind compassionate heart. She always had kind words and advice for everyone. She was so fun to be around and had a smile for everyone.
Ariana leaves behind her mother, Heather Fleury; father Russ Obago; siblings Alisha, Galen, Gary Jr., Jashon, Jhett, Kaiden, Tivana, Nicolette; her other half Trevor Williams; baby girls Talani and Tiara; her special niece Maicee; grandma Tina Grey Owl; grandpa Beanie Medicine Crow; great grandma Beatrice Whiting; and numerous family members, cousins and friends whom all loved this beautiful lady and whom she loved and appreciated. Preceding her in death were gramma Viola Obago Eagle Thunder, her first baby girl Olivia, her twin siblings, her special aunty Mitzi Medicine Crow, great gramma’s Martha and Lizzie His Law, great grandpa Marvin Medicine Crow Sr., grandpa Marlowe Medicine Crow Sr., Our lives will never be the same without Ariana. She touched our lives in so many ways.
God proved again that he only takes the best. We will never say good-bye for she will live forever in our heart. Until we meet again, blessed by your journey.
